EGYPTIAN BRONZE DAGGER WITH LEAF-SHAPED BLADE AND BONE INLAYS.
New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A bronze dagger with a broad leaf-shaped blade and a strong midrib, tapering to a sharp point. A low guard separates the blade from a narrow tang fitted with a bone hilt, secured by rivets and widening slightly at the pommel. Size: 260mm x 45mm; Weight: 205g Provenance: Private London collection; formerly in M. Ebnother collection, Switzerland,1980s. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
