PAIR OF EGYPTIAN STONE CAT AMULETS. New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A pair of stone cat amulets, each carved seated on a flat base with the forepaws extended and the tail wrapped along the haunch. The heads are raised with pointed ears and circular recessed eyes. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number EA54547. Size: 19-28mm x 18-20mm; Weight: 8.5g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier circulating on the Belgium art market in the 1980s.
