RARE GREEK GOLD MASK WITH INSCRIPTIONS. Ca. 1400 BC. A gold funerary mask composed of six separate repousse elements, inscribed on the edges, including, from top to bottom: a pair of almond-shaped eyes with central slits; a pair of ears with outlined inner contours; a long triangular nose with a central ridge and rounded nostrils; and an elongated mouth plaque with a central slit and short vertical notches, suggesting teeth.
