RARE ASSYRIAN BRONZE CONICAL HELMET WITH CHEEK PIECES. Ca. 800 - 600 BC. A bronze helmet with a tall conical crown rising to a pointed apex and two tongue-shaped cheekpieces pierced with attachment holes. For similar see: S. Borin, R. Size: 400mm x 250mm; Weight: 495g Provenance: London private collection; Previously in a UK art gallery in the 2010's; Previously in the collection of Hermann Born, Germany, 1980s; Ex Maurice Bouvier collection, Switzerland, 1970s. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
