BRONZE AGE / EARLY GREEK PERIOD BRONZE SWORD.
Ca. 1200 - 800 BC.
A bronze sword with a long blade tapering to a sharp point, the broad central rib running from the base to the tip. The blade descends to an arched guard and a cylindrical grip with a moulded collar and a flaring terminal.
Size: 460mm x 70mm; Weight: 390g
Provenance: London private collection; ex M. Ebnother collection, Switzerland (1980s).
