BRONZE AGE / EARLY GREEK PERIOD BRONZE DAGGER WITH OPENWORK POMMEL. Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A bronze dagger with a long blade and a pronounced midrib, narrowing to a sharp point, and cast with a short hilt with projecting guard flanges, a cylindrical grip with a central ring moulding, and an openwork disc pommel surmounted by a stone dome. Size: 355mm x 55mm; Weight: 300g Provenance: Private London collection; formerly in M. Ebnother collection, Switzerland,1980s. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
