Description
BRONZE AGE / EARLY GREEK PERIOD BRONZE DAGGER WITH CONICAL POMMEL.
Ca. 1200 - 800 BC.
A bronze dagger with a leaf-shaped blade tapering to a sharp point, and a pronounced central midrib extending from the base to the tip. The hilt is cast with a slender cylindrical grip fitted with small riveted plaques, surmounted by a tall conical pommel.

Provenance: Private London collection; formerly in M. Ebnother collection, Switzerland,1980s.
