SOUTH ARABIAN ALABASTER HEAD OF A MAN.
Ca. 300 - 100 BC.
An alabaster head of a man with a broad face, short hair, and large almond-shaped eyes recessed for inlays. The arched brows, moustache, and short beard are marked by rows of drilled dots. A long straight nose dominates the face, with a small closed mouth beneath.
