Description
NEO ELAMITE GREEN STONE CYLINDER SEAL WITH WINGED SCORPION-MEN AND AN INCENSE BURNER.
Ca. 1100 - 700 BC.
A green stone cylinder seal, drilled longitudinally and engraved with two identical winged scorpion-men standing confronted on a groundline on either side of an incense burner. Each has a long beard and a conical cap, with a scorpion body, lion legs and claws, and obliquely raised wings. A winged disk appears above.
