Description
EGYPTIAN BRONZE FIGURINE OF OSIRIS.
Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC.
A bronze figurine of standing mummiform Osiris with the arms crossed and holding the crook (heka) and flail (nekhakha), wearing a long braided beard and the atef crown, with the White Crown of Upper Egypt flanked by two plumes and a uraeus rising at the front. The figure has a tenon below for insertion and suspension loops behind the head and at the side of the feet.

Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier held in an old family collection formed over the period 1960s–2000.
