PAIR OF EGYPTIAN BRONZE AND STONE EYES.
Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A pair of eye inlays formed as elongated bronze frames with pointed inner and outer corners, each set with a white stone sclera and a black stone iris. For similar see: Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Firenze, inv. 2419ab. Size: 110-115mm x 25-25mm; Weight: 75g Provenance: Private London collection; previously from a New York private collection assembled in the 1980s. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
