RARE EGYPTIAN CARNELIAN WEDJAT EYE AMULET.
Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. An openwork carnelian wedjat eye amulet with an almond-shaped eye, a long tapering cosmetic line, and a curved cheek marking below. The eyebrow is marked with a chevron pattern. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number EA86541. Size: 32mm x 20mm; Weight: 5g Provenance: Private collection, central London; acquired via the UK art market; previously in the Dolman Family Collection, 1930s-1940s This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
