Description
PAIR OF GNATHIAN BLACK-GLAZED VESSELS.
Ca. 330 - 280 BC.
A pair of black-glazed vessels, from left to right: a drinking cup with a deep rounded bowl on a low moulded foot and a pair of horizontal handles, the exterior decorated with vine tendrils; and an oinochoe with an ovoid body on a low foot, a short neck below a trefoil mouth and a strap handle, the shoulder decorated with bands of tongues, zig zags and dots in added colour, the body with scattered rosettes and dot clusters.
