ETRUSCAN TERRACOTTA VOTIVE HEAD OF YOUTH. Ca. 200 - 100 BC. A hollow terracotta votive head of a youth, modelled with an oval face with heavy-lidded eyes, a straight nose and a closed mouth. Short, wavy locks frame the forehead and temples. An irregular round vent hole at the back. For similar see: National Museums Liverpool, Accession number M12913. Size: 155mm x 120mm; Weight: 770g Provenance: London private collection; Switzerland acquisition; ex Geneva collection, late 1980s–early 2000s. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
