ETRUSCAN TERRACOTTA VOTIVE HEAD OF YOUTH.
Ca. 300 - 200 BC.
A hollow terracotta votive head of a youth, modelled with an oval face with heavy-lidded eyes, a straight nose and a closed mouth. Short, wavy locks frame the forehead and temples. An irregular round vent hole is at the back.
Size: 220mm x 145mm; Weight: 1.53kg
Provenance: London private collection; Switzerland acquisition; ex Geneva collection, late 1980s–early 2000s.
