MEGARIAN WARE BOWL WITH NIKE DRIVING A BIGA. Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A red terracotta bowl with a broad, slightly flaring rim and a deep rounded body. The upper zone is plain. Below runs a narrow egg-and-dart frieze. The lower part of the exterior is moulded with alternating palm fronds and lanceolate leaves radiating from a medallion on the underside with Nike driving a biga.
