LARGE ROMAN BRONZE TORSO OF DIANA. Ca. AD 200. A bronze torso of Diana, wearing a short chiton, the drapery gathered in heavy folds across the chest and falling in a short skirt above the knees. The figure stands with the weight on the right leg, the arms extended at the sides. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number 1874,0805.127. Size: 125mm x 90mm; Weight: 435g Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with C. E. Schultze collection, Munich, late 1980s. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
