LARGE SCYTHIAN BRONZE STAG FIGURINE.
Ca. 500 BC. A bronze stag standing with a slender body, long legs joined to a tapering support, and a narrow head with a pointed muzzle. Tall branching antlers with multiple tines rise above the head. For similar see: L'Or des Scythes, Tresor de l'Ermitage, Cat. 145. Size: 140mm x 80mm; Weight: 200g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier held in an old family collection formed over the period 1960s–2000. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
