BYZANTINE SILVER-INLAID BRONZE ONE LIBRA WEIGHT.
Ca. AD 500 - 700.
A bronze weight of square form, with bevelled edges and a plain reverse. The obverse is engraved with the weight symbol for libra and alpha, as a numerical symbol for 1, both in silver inlay. The central field is framed by a dotted and a leaf border.
