BYZANTINE BRONZE OIL LAMP WITH HORSE-SHAPED HANDLE AND CROSS.
Ca. AD 500 - 600. A bronze oil lamp with a rounded body tapering to a short nozzle and a broad filling hole at the centre. The handle is formed as an open loop surmounted by a stylised horse head, set above a small cross at the junction with the body.
