PAIR OF BYZANTINE BRONZE WEIGHTS WITH CATHEDRAL FACADES.
Ca. AD 400 - 600. A pair of bronze weights, each circular and engraved with a stylised three-part cathedral façade, with two triangular roofs flanking a central dome, each section with an arched doorway and surmounted by a cross. Size: 26-30mm x 26-30mm; Weight: 75g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier held in an old family collection formed over the period 1960s–2000. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
