BYZANTINE SILVER-INLAID BRONZE WEIGHT WITH EMPEROR AND EMPRESS. Ca. AD 400 - 600. A bronze weight of circular form, with a raised outer rim and a central field decorated in silver inlay with frontal busts of the emperor and empress flanking a tall cross. Size: 45mm x 45mm; Weight: 120g Provenance: Private London collection; previously on the French art market during the 1970s–1980s.
