LATE BRONZE AGE / EARLY SCYTHIAN BRONZE PLAQUE WITH HORNED DEMON.
Ca. 800 - 500 BC. A bronze openwork plaque with a horned demon flanked by two rosettes and inverted lions, all within a hatched frame, above a short ribbed shaft ending in a suspension loop. Size: 140mm x 110mm; Weight: 300g Provenance: Private UK collection; previously part of an Oxfordshire ancient art collection; acquired from a Canadian collection formed between the 1970s and 2000. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
