PAIR OF CYPRIOT TERRACOTTA BOAR RATTLE AND PIG ASKOS.
Ca. 2000 - 1800 BC. A pair of terracotta animals, from left to right: a boar-shaped rattle with a rectangular body on four short legs, a cylindrical snout, applied circular eyes, and tall pointed ears, with a pierced suspension lug on the back and the surface incised with short strokes; and a pig askos with a rounded body on tapering legs, a short cylindrical spout on the back, a tapering snout, slit eyes, and the body decorated with groups of incised chevrons.
