Description
ROMANO-EGYPTIAN BRONZE RAM-SHAPED OIL LAMP.
Ca. 100 BC - AD 100.
A bronze oil lamp in the form of a ram standing on four short legs, the elongated body forming the reservoir, with the nozzle at the rear and a central filling hole on the back fitted with a hinged lid. The head is cast with curling horns, long pendent ears, and a broad muzzle.
