Description
EGYPTIAN FAIENCE AMULET OF A HYBRID DEITY.
Ptolemaic to Roman Period, Ca. 332 BC - AD 200.
A faience amulet of a squatting hybrid deity on a rectangular plinth, with the ram head of Khnum surmounted by a sun disk and the compact body of the dwarf-god Bes. Folded wings appear at the back, and the wig falls in long strands onto the neck. A small suspension loop projects behind.
