Description
EGYPTIAN NEW KINGDOM USHABTI OF KHA. New Kingdom, Ca. 1292 - 1077 BC. A wooden ushabti with a mummiform body tapering to a narrow rectangular base. The head is covered with a blue-painted tripartite wig falling onto the shoulders. A vertical column of black hieroglyphs, bearing the name of the owner, Kha, “wab-priest of Amun", runs down the front. The back is painted with a red seed basket. Size: 225mm x 55mm; Weight: 105g Provenance: Private London collection; previously from a New York private collection assembled in the 1980s.
