Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A bronze amulet of a baboon seated on an integral base with its forearms resting on its thighs, the head with a projecting muzzle and recessed eyes, surmounted by a conical cap. Size: 60mm x 20mm; Weight: 63g Provenance: Private collection, central London; acquired via the UK art market; previously in the Dolman Family Collection, 1930s-1940s
