Description
GREEK BLACK-GLAZED GUTTUS WITH GORGONEION.
Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A black-glazed guttus with a flattened circular body, fluted around the perimeter, on a moulded foot. A tall tubular mouth and a vertical loop handle rise from the shoulder. The upper surface is centred by a moulded gorgoneion in relief within a recessed roundel. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number 1868,0110.684.
