PAIR OF GREEK AND ROMAN SPEARHEADS.
Ca. 500 BC - AD 200.
A pair of spearheads, from left to right: a Greek bronze spearhead with a slender leaf-shaped blade and a central midrib, above a long tapering tang; and a Roman iron spearhead with a narrow blade above a cylindrical socket flaring towards the opening.
Size: 450-515mm x 30-50mm; Weight: 630g
Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Belgium; previously held in a Netherlands collection dating to the 1970s–1980s.
