Description
PAIR OF ELEGANT GNATHIAN TERRACOTTA SKYPHOI.
Ca. 330 - 270 BC.
A pair of terracotta skyphoi, each with a deep tapering cup on a circular foot and a pair of loop handles, decorated in added white, yellow and red; the one on the left painted with horizontal bands of dots, lines and undulating lines across the upper body; and the one on the right with fine red lines and dotted ornament, the lower body plain and the foot with a reserved band.
