LATE ROMAN GLASS AMPHORISKOS.
Ca. AD 300 - 500.
A free-blown translucent pale green glass amphoriskos with a globular body, a concave base with a pontil mark, a short cylindrical neck, and a collared mouth. A pair of strap handles is applied at the shoulders, drawn up to the collar, and attached again at the rim.

Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired on the London art market; previously in the collection of D. Ruskin, Oxford, 1990s.
