Description
LATE ROMAN GLASS JUG. Ca. AD 300 - 500. A mould-blown hexagonal pale olive green glass jug with a broad folded rim, a short cylindrical neck encircled by an applied trail, and a strap handle extending from the rim to the shoulder. The body is decorated with moulded patterns on each of the six panels. For similar see: R. A. Grossmann, Ancient Glass, A Guide to the Yale Collection, fig. 23-23a.
