STUNNING COLLECTION OF ROMAN MINIATURE GLASS UNGUENTARIA.
Ca. AD 1 - 300. A collection of 11 miniature glass unguentaria, including, from left to right: a tubular bottle with a broad flaring rim; a bottle with a thick rim and globular lower body; a miniature flask with a small rounded body and flaring neck; a pear-shaped bottle with a cylindrical neck; five bottles with spreading bases; and two slender unguentaria with long tubular bodies. Size: 20-55mm x 15-25mm; Weight: 55g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired on the London art market; previously in the collection of D. Ruskin, Oxford, 1990s.
