STUNNING MASSIVE LATE ROMAN GLASS JUG.
Ca. AD 100 - 300. A free-blown translucent green glass jug with a broad globular body, a tall waisted neck, and a collared mouth. A single strap handle rises from the rim and returns to the shoulder. Size: 250mm x 200mm; Weight: 640g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired on the London art market; previously in the collection of D. Ruskin, Oxford, 1990s.
