LATE ROMAN GLASS AMPHORISKOS. Ca. AD 300 - 500. A free-blown translucent pale green glass amphoriskos with a globular body, a concave base with a pontil mark, a tall flaring neck, and a collared mouth. A pair of strap handles is applied at the shoulders, drawn up to the collar, and attached again at the rim. Size: 130mm x 110mm; Weight: 125g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier held in an old family collection formed over the period 1960s–2000.
