Description
LARGE ANATOLIAN PAINTED TERRACOTTA HOUSE MODEL WITH GEOMETRIC DECORATION. Neolithic-Bronze Age, Ca. 4000 - 3000 BC. A large painted terracotta house model with a cylindrical lower chamber, a flat upper section with short lugs, and a central tall tapering column with a flaring top. One side of the chamber is pierced by a large rectangular opening, and the remaining wall has narrow openings. The surface is decorated in dark pigment with horizontal registers of geometric motifs, including lozenges and triangles with hatched infill, continuing up the column. For similar see: I.
