COLLECTION OF NEOLITHIC STONE AXE HEADS.
Ca. 7000 - 5000 BC.
A collection of four stone axes, including, from top to bottom: an elongated axe with a rounded butt and a tapering profile to the cutting end; a shorter, wedge-shaped axe; a broad, stout axe with a rounded butt and the cutting edge with a wide bevel on one side; an axe with a rounded butt and convex sides, the cutting end formed as a short, steep bevel.
