COLLECTION OF ANCIENT CHINESE TERRACOTTA FIGURES OF BIRDS.
Han dynasty, Ca. 206 BC - AD 220.
A collection of four terracotta birds, each with a hollow body mounted on cast bronze legs with webbed feet. The group includes a long-necked waterfowl and three smaller crested birds with dotted decoration on the wings.
Size: 120-230mm x 90-235mm; Weight: 2.41kg
Provenance: From the private collection of a Somerset gentleman; previously in an old British collection, formed in the 1980s on the UK /European art markets.
