PAIR OF CHINESE TERRACOTTA FEMALE ATTENDANTS - TL TESTED.
Tang dynasty, Ca. AD 618 - 907.
A pair of terracotta female attendants, from left to right: a standing figure in a long robe, her hair dressed in a high topknot, holding a water jug at her side with one hand and raising the other across the chest; and a smaller attendant in a long robe, her hair arranged in looped side knots, holding a water jug before her. Traces of red, white, green and black pigment remain on the garments and heads.
