FANTASTIC HELLENISTIC SILVER RHYTON WITH RAM'S PROTOME Ca. 300 - 250 BC. A silver rhyton with a long curved horn-shaped body terminating at one end in a broad mouth with an everted rim and beaded border, and at the other in a ram protome. The animal has curled horns, pointed ears and a shaggy fleece rendered in chased locks, with a pouring spout projecting from the chest. For similar see: M.
