ETRUSCAN BRONZE WILD BOAR HEAD FOUNTAIN SPOUT Ca. 500 - 300 BC. A bronze fountain spout in the shape of a wild boar's head, cast with a long tapering muzzle, open mouth, and tubular outlet projecting below. The head is modelled with alert eyes, pointed ears, and curved tusks flanking the snout. Incised and chiselled lines render the bristling mane along the crown, with further short strokes marking the cheeks and jaw. Size: 150mm x 140mm; Weight: 870g Provenance: Private UK collection; ex UK art gallery, 2000s; ex Guy DelbŽs collection, France, 1980s-2000s; ex French ancient art gallery, 1980s.
