RARE ETRUSCAN GEOMETRIC BRONZE SHIELD WITH ORIGINAL IRON NAILS Ca. 700 - 600 BC. A circular bronze shield of shallow convex profile, hammered from a single sheet and centred by a prominent hemispherical boss. The field is decorated in repousse with concentric arrangements of raised bosses, dotted lines, angular bands, spirals and curvilinear motifs.
