Description
ILLYRIAN BRONZE HELMET Ca. 500 BC.
A bronze helmet with a rounded skull and a rectangular face opening framed by cheekpieces tapering downwards. Two pronounced longitudinal ribs extend over the crown. Rows of rivets border the lower edge and face opening. At the rear, the skull descends to a short flaring neck guard.
