RARE ETRUSCAN MONTEFORTINO HELMET WITH INSCRIPTION Ca. 400 BC. A hammered bronze Montefortino helmet with a high rounded bowl tapering to a short knob for the attachment of a plume. The lower edge extends into a projecting neck guard and a narrow brim with a punched inscription. Two bronze rivets on each side served to attach the cheekpieces.
