RARE BRONZE AGE DAGGER WITH LUNAR POMMEL AND SCABBARD Ca. 1400 - 1200 BC. A bronze dagger with a broad triangular blade tapering to a sharp point and a pronounced central ridge. The hilt is cast with a curved guard, a short narrow grip with a moulded band, and a lunate pommel. Accompanied by a plain bronze scabbard. Size: 245mm x 70mm; Weight: 435g Provenance: UK Private Collection; Ex. UK art gallery, 2000s; Ex. William D. Ashby collection, USA, acquired in 1980s.
