RARE BRONZE AGE DAGGER WITH OPENWORK HANDLE Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A bronze dagger with a long fullered blade narrowing to a sharp point. The hilt is cast with an openwork grip pierced with two rows of rectangular openings and an upper row of circular perforations, and terminates in a wooden pommel of rounded outline. Size: 340mm x 40mm; Weight: 185g Provenance: From a private UK collection; previously part of the R.A. collection, assembled since the 1970s.
