Description
RARE BRONZE AGE BRONZE AND BONE DAGGER WITH DECORATED HANDLE Ca. 1200 - 800 BC.
A bronze dagger with a long blade narrowing to a sharp point, with a raised central rib. The rectangular bone grip is decorated with rows of concentric ring and dot motifs. The hilt terminates in a rounded bronze pommel with diagonal ribbing and a knop finial.
Size: 505mm x 60mm; Weight: 820g
Provenance: From a private UK collection; previously part of the R.A. collection, assembled since the 1970s.
