EGYPTIAN BRONZE DAGGER WITH BONE POMMEL Middle Kingdom to New Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1069 BC. A bronze dagger with a tapering blade cast with a central rib, with the edges converging to a pointed tip. The shoulders broaden to a crescentic guard. The grip terminates in a bone pommel with two openings. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number EA65263. Size: 380mm x 50mm; Weight: 320g Provenance: Private UK collection; previously part of an Oxfordshire ancient art collection; acquired from a Canadian collection formed between the 1970s and 2000.
