ROMAN MARBLE HEAD OF YOUNG NERO Ca. AD 1 - 100. A marble portrait head of the young Nero, with the head turned slightly to his left. The face is full, with a rounded chin, prominent eyes and a compact mouth. His thick hair is arranged in overlapping, deeply carved locks across the forehead and temples, continuing in heavier curls over the crown and around the ears. For similar see: Musei Capitolini, inv.
